About

The longer version, for people who scrolled past the jokes.

The short story

I started in 2018 writing crawlers and NLP models, which is a polite way of saying I downloaded a lot of the internet and asked it how it felt. Then came a few years of computer vision and medical imaging: blur detection, face and pose models, brain MRI preprocessing. After that, a sentiment-analysis platform that read more than three billion posts so nobody else had to.

Since 2023 I have worked on electricity: solar forecasting first, then trading strategy for the Japanese market. In practice that means data pipelines, bidding tools, price models, and a calendar that somehow filled up with meetings. JLPT N1 helps when the market publishes its rules in Japanese, and in 2026 I spent a few months in Tokyo finding out how much I still didn't know.

Python is home. Rust is where I go when something has to be fast and stay up, which is how Telepy's backend became a single Rust process. Most of my open-source tools exist because I needed them first and was too lazy to do the same job by hand twice.

How I work

Most of what I build now, I build together with AI coding agents. I decide what to make, how the pieces fit and whether it actually works. The agent writes a lot of the code, and I read every change before it ships.
